Who Are We?
At Mount Barker Baptist Church we aspire to be a family oriented contemporary church that responds to the needs of both the church family and wider community. This is a church where all of God’s people are encouraged to draw closer to God, discover their calling and serve with their gifts. We hope that you will join us and pray you will know God’s love and grace in your life.
What To Expect On Sundays
At Mount Barker Baptist we are passionately seeking to transform this world through the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are actively seeking God’s will and believe in a good God who calls us to a relationship with Him allowing us to love Him and love one another.
Our Sunday morning worship service is held at 10am. We celebrate communion on the first and third Sundays which is open to all! We have a contemporary worship service but also embrace our hymns at times. We praise God in song for 20-30mins, then we may hear from our missions team or personal testimonies. We have great biblical teaching from one of our teaching team each week. If appropriate we may have an opportunity for prayer or response at the end of our service. You are welcome to express yourself in any way that is helpful to your worship.
Younger children are very welcome to join us! Most stay for the first 30 minutes then during term time they attend our children’s ministry programs at Kid Central.
Following the service we gather as a Church family for tea, coffee & catching up.
